Texas Pride Impact Funds

In response to the historic impact of Hurricane Harvey to the LGBTQ community of Houston, a Texas Pride Impact Funds Matching Grant Program has been established. The grant will support the Montrose Center in Houston, an LGBTQ counseling and community center serving Houston since 1978. With more than 35,000 clients in core programs, the Montrose Center has identified staff and community members who have lost everything - with more evidence of disaster relief need coming in daily. The Center’s dedicated case management team is on call to help homeless youth, seniors, people living with HIV, hate crime survivors, and others devastated by the storm.

Your donations will help individuals and families begin to rebuild their lives through counseling, case management, and direct assistance with shelf stable food, furniture, housing and more.

While the Montrose Center will focus primarily on empowering the LGBTQ community to rebuild after the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey, they provide service to all people in need regardless of their sexuality.

Texas Pride Impact Funds has committed a $5,000 matching grant to this program.  In partnership with generous philanthropic donors, we have designed the program to also allow donors to make a personal match, in addition to individual donations.

Donations will be matched dollar for dollar by Texas Pride Impact Funds up to $5,000.  Donors who offer personal matching challenges to the campaign (see 'Match-Designated Donations' on donation page) may increase the total to be matched up to $15,000 for this initial campaign.
